Housing & Climate Forum June 8, 2023

Thursday, June 8, 2023 (5:30 PM - 8:30 PM) (EDT)

Description

Join the Home Builders and Remodelers Association of Central Massachusetts for an educational evening and chance to connect with fellow builders and remodelers.

The event speakers are Craig Foley of Sustainable RE and Derek Briggs of MASS Save who will address the upcoming Energy Code changes and what builders and remodelers will have to consider to ensure their jobs remain profitable while meeting expected new code requirements.

With the Net Zero Energy Code changes it's important for Builders and Remodelers to know what to expect, how best to adapt, and things to consider to ensure jobs remain profitable. There is increasing data showing that real estate values are adjusting to recognize the better value of high performance homes. The industry has some catching up to do so that real estate agents, appraisers, builders and remodelers, and home owners understand the "Green and Energy Efficient Addendum" process to achieve better bank loan terms. Our speakers will talk through the process.
